Saw this movie last Friday, and i've gotta say it was the best 8$ i've spent in quite a while. The action and fight sequences were very well done, and the over all story was one i really enjoyed. The acting was fantastic and over all it was just a really good time. Would definitely see it again.

This movie has a thrilling and stylish start in the East, then quickly goes south when it hits the old West. Kate Bosworth is terribly miscast, the middle hour is a bore, and the pursuit by the ninjas is idiotic. Offsetting that was the powerful screen presence of Dong-gun Jang as well as an extremely adorable baby. Overall, a very uneven and ultimately disappointing experience.

I loved this movie. I'm surprised by all the bad reviews. The movie is surprisingly funny, visually stunning, and has amazing fight scenes. Sure, the plot is simple, (it isn't inception), but the movie stands on its own. All the characters are great as well. I think this movie deserves to be seen. Also, Dong-gun Jang is fantastic.

This is yet another triumph in the world of marketing and those marketing morons who attempt to mislead the masses on what a movie actually is but can we really blame these hap hazard movie marketeers or more so the deluge of lemmings who actually believe these trailer hypes without doing their research? buyer beware should you chose to pay full price. This movie is a cavalcade of ninja methos, old west ideology, Kung-fu stunts and Moulin Rouge..wait!...WHAT? thats' right what they don't show is awful opera-ish moulin rouge wanna-be love story telling gone horrible wrong. What looks like a promising Kung-fu action flick and one marketed as such is nothing even close. My wife and I saw this on a free screening and wished we never did (and she is a half-chinese kung-fu, anime loving geek). Considering all the gimmicks that theaters are attempting to do to draw movie goers back into their overpriced theaters you think the studios would work on decent scripts instead.
